Operating Instructions

This ISO/IEC 7816 dual-slot smartcard reader works immediately with Windows, macOS, and Linux — no driver installation is required, as all major operating systems include native CCID/PCSC drivers.

Normal Smartcard Operations:

Full-Size Smartcard (Slot 1)

Insert the card chip first, face up into Slot 1.
Push gently until the card is fully seated.

SIM Card (Slot 2)

Insert the card chip first, face up into Slot 2.
Align carefully; do not force the card. Do not insert a SIM card into the full-size slot.

Click-to-Tap Virtual Button

(Windows + Cryptnox FIDO2 Contact Card Only):

Some FIDO2 registration and authentication processes prompt you to “Tap your security key” to confirm login or approve an action.

The Click-to-Tap button on this reader simulates that tap when using any Cryptnox FIDO2 card.

Steps:

Insert your Cryptnox FIDO2 card into Slot 1.
Start the login or authentication process in your browser or application.
When prompted to “Tap your security key”, press the Click-to-Tap button on the reader.
